Collaborative Friendship Associations: A Bright Spot in Vietnam-Uzbekistan Relations

According to Luong Phan Cu, president of the Vietnam-Uzbekistan Friendship Association, bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Uzbekistan gradually developed strongly in many fields on the basis of equal cooperation and mutual benefit.

Within the framework of the signed Memorandum of Understanding, the Vietnam-Uzbekistan Friendship Association and the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association cooperated to promote people-to-people diplomacy between the two countries.

Two publications of the friendship associations, the work “Prison Diary” of President Ho Chi Minh translated into Uzbek and the song “Tashkent – Hanoi, Hanoi – Tashkent” were sent by the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations to participate in the National External Information Service 2023 launched by the Central Steering Committee for External Information Service.

In September 2023, there will be a delegation of the Vietnam-Uzbekistan Friendship Association to visit Uzbekistan and work with partners and friends in Tashkent.

Delegates participated in the friendship exchange in Hanoi on August 27 to mark Vietnam’s 78th National Day (September 2, 1945-2023) and Uzbekistan’s 32nd Independence Day (September 1, 1991-2023).

On this occasion, President of the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association Aliser Rustamovich Mukhamedov sent a letter to congratulate Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).

In the letter, Aliser affirmed that the friendship between the Vietnamese people and the people of Uzbekistan existed for a long time. It is a sincere friendship, with understanding, mutual support, and development.

Cooperation between the two countries developed especially strongly in the fields of politics, economy, culture, tourism, and agriculture, as well as between mass organizations, businesses, and non-governmental agencies.

Chairman Aliser hoped that in the future, the relationship between the two countries would develop to a new height.
