This is the Lao Prime Minister’s first visit to Vietnam after he was elected head of the Government of Laos on December 30, 2022.

Meanwhile, Lao leaders thank the Party, State and people of Vietnam for standing side by side with the Party, State and people of Lao ethnic groups in all circumstances, vowing to cement their close-knit ties.

During his stay, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone will co-chair the 46th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee.
They will also attend the Vietnam-Laos Investment Cooperation Forum.
The national workshop, due to take place on February 27, will bring together managers, scientists, and practitioners of culture and art who will examine the historical significance, great value, and influence of the Outline of Vietnamese Culture over the past 80 years. Delegates will propose solutions to effectively promote the value of the document for the purpose of cultural and human development in order to meet the country’s requirements for sustainable development. Both Party and State leaders, along with representatives of relevant ministries, agencies, and all 63 localities, will attend the workshop to be held both physically and virtually. Nhat Phong, a local tour guide, reported that he and a group of tourists had a remarkable encounter with a shark during a boat trip to the coral reefs along Bai Dua Beach. The shark sighting occurred on Thursday at 11:45 am. Phong revealed that the tourists initially spotted the shark’s large fin on the water surface, which got them all excited. They requested the captain to turn the boat around for a closer look. As they approached, they noticed the shark swimming slower and appearing friendly.
